Sheila Weese 8th Grade Mathematics Bobcats Math Teacher West Chatham Middle School s[email protected]
I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri and have lived in Savannah since 1989. I am married with two daughters, two grandchildren, and a great grandson. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University. This is my twenty-third year teaching at West Chatham Middle School. I have been recognized as a Georgia Master Teacher since 2006 and received my National Board Certification in 2007.
I strongly believe in using a variety of learning techniques in the classroom, whereby students are active participants in the learning process.High expectations as well as mutual respect and appreciation of individual talents, cultures, and self-identities are encouraged.I believe when teachers, parents, and students work together success will be achieved to the satisfaction of all.
Click on the In The Classroom page above to find information on daily assignments as well as tutorial guidelines and procedures. The next page describes in detail the team Discipline Process. The Classroom Guide explains expectations and standard operating procedures in my classroom. Please feel free to look around. If you have any questions or need for clarity please get in touch. My email address is provided above. It would be easiest for me if you would begin the year by sending me an email. Emails are the most efficient and effective way to contact me. Please provide your child's name in the subject line and then all contact information so I can have an easy way to contact you in the future. Most of my contact will be by email since they take less time and provide clear information.
